Articles of Organization Filing Fee

This fee is currently set at $75 and the payment can be made by money order, credit card, or an ACH funds transfer from a business banking account. Once your business has been approved, you will receive confirmation from the Secretary of State within 5 to 7 business days.

Official State Business License — Initial List

All businesses operating in Nevada must register for an Official State Business License. The initial list fee is $200 and the payment must be made by money order or ACH transfer. This fee provides your business with access to additional state services and resources, such as Intellectual Property registration, taxes, and permits. Upon completion of the application process and payment, you’ll receive an official license within 14 business days.

Nevada Annual List Fee

In addition to the one-time Initial List Fee of $200, you must also pay an annual list fee of $20. This fee provides continued access to state services and resources and must be paid prior to the date listed on the Nevada Secretary of State’s website. The fees are non-refundable and failure to pay the annual list fee will result in your business being delisted.

Nevada Resident Agent Service Fee

For business owners in Nevada, you will need to select a commercially reasonable and competent resident agent. When you appoint your resident agent, there is a $125 fee due, which must be paid every two calendar years. This fee covers the costs of continuous monitoring of your registered name’s availability, maintaining up-to-date records on file with the Secretary of State, and providing compiled reports when requested.

Certificate of Good Standing Request Fee

You will also be required to pay a fee for requesting a Certificate of Good Standing. In the state of Nevada, there is a $30 fee due when requested. The Certificate of Good Standing is a document given by the Secretary of State showing that your LLC (also known as a “limited liability company”) is up-to-date and validly registered in Nevada. It also attests to the fact that your LLC has paid all taxes and fees it owes to the state. This certificate is typically needed if you are looking to enter into contracts or transact business in other states or countries.
